Originally from Eastern France and residents of La Rochelle since 1999, Patricia Mazzolini and Hervé Brandt embody a lifelong passion for hospitality. Their professional journey is defined by the high standards of world-class Michelin-starred establishments:
Hervé, a trained chef and sommelier, honed his skills at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant of Antoine Westermann (Strasbourg).
The couple then collaborated within the Barrière Group in Normandy (Hôtel du Golf, Le Normandy).
They joined Hélène Darroze in the Landes region, contributing to the rise of her family’s renowned house.
After managing Grégory Coutanceau’s establishments (Les Flots) for over a decade and contributing to the influence of local gastronomy, Hervé and Patricia took the leap in 2018. They took over Le Mail, a legendary La Rochelle institution, to create a place in their own image: authentic, elegant, and welcoming.
Le Mail is much more than a restaurant; it is a human adventure. In 2020, their children, Théo and Léa, joined the team for a season, marking the arrival of the fourth generation of restaurateurs in the Brandt family. Today, Patricia and Hervé welcome you facing the ocean to share this unique expertise, where every detail is designed for your enjoyment.
